About Us

A Dog Walker Draws was established in 2022, merging the twin loves of proprietor Karen- namely dogs and illustration. 

A former veterinary nurse and long time professional dog walker, Karen started the business almost by accident! After setting herself the project of drawing a scene from her week's dog walking, it occurred to her that other dog walkers might recognise the scenarios and relate to her illustrations. And she was right! A community of dog walkers was established as they realised (with a sigh of relief!) that the mishaps and dog related daftness they experienced daily was nothing personal. 

Before long, demand for her dog related drawings grew and she decided to establish her business on a more formal footing, adding personalised and breed specific illustrated items to her shop. 

Determined to maintain the personal touch she maintains that if you can't find your 'own' breed in her shop, she'll draw it and add it to the available gang! 

Karen lives in a Northumberland village so small that, for several years, Ordnance Survey forgot to put it on the map. She shares her home with two small brown terriers and the ever present threat of recurrent dry rot!
